Land's addition to the leadership team reflects Scent Beauty's commitment to enhancing its operational expertise as it expands its brand portfolio and international presence. The company has recently achieved significant milestones, including strategic partnerships and acquisitions like Calliope by Megan Moroney, Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter, and Untamed by Stetson, strengthening its position in the fragrance market under the guidance of Co-Founder and CEO Stephen Mormoris.
In her new role, Land will collaborate closely with Mormoris and the existing executive team, which includes Chief Commercial Officer Jesse Bartley and Vice President of Marketing Doreen Butcher, to develop the company's financial strategy, enhance operational capabilities, and pursue long-term strategic goals.
Mormoris stated, "Yoana's combination of beauty industry experience, financial leadership, and transformation expertise makes her an incredibly valuable addition to Scent Beauty. As we enter our next chapter, her strategic insights will help scale our vision and discover new opportunities for growth."
Before joining Scent Beauty, Land worked at L'Oréal for ten years, where she occupied several senior leadership roles in finance and transformation across North America and Asia. She also acted as a CFO advisor to Warburg portfolio companies and was previously the CFO of Jaya Apparel Group. Her expertise in financial strategy, digital, and ecommerce within the beauty industry provides her with a comprehensive view of the changing market landscape.
Land expressed enthusiasm about her new role, saying, "Scent Beauty has built tremendous momentum by combining creativity and innovation with a distinct understanding of today's fragrance consumer. I'm excited to partner with Steve and the leadership team to build on that foundation."
She will work alongside current CFO and Co-Founder Jim Shiah, who will remain involved in strategic projects in an advisory role starting in 2027.
