This newly designed area represents a significant upgrade to Harrods' menswear offerings and a notable expansion of its lifestyle category. It features prominent brands such as Barbour, Orlebar Brown, Paul & Shark, Sease, Purdey, Herno, and Vilebrequin, each showcased in newly tailored shop fits that reflect their unique identities and craftsmanship.
With changing customer behaviors and an increased demand for complete wardrobe solutions, the space aims to promote a comprehensive approach to modern dressing by combining luxury fashion, lifestyle, and versatility in one location. Yasmin Mehmet, Harrods' Menswear Buying Manager, stated that this new room marks an important extension of their lifestyle category and caters to customers seeking a full wardrobe.
She noted the growing interest in versatile clothing options that suit various occasions, especially in sectors such as outerwear, knitwear, and gilets. Mehmet emphasized that the curated selection of brands, along with a focus on discovery and inspiration, would enhance the offering for today’s menswear customers.
Last month, Harrods reported a return to profitability following challenges from the previous year, which were compounded by costs related to historic abuse claims from former owner Mohamed Al-Fayed's tenure. For the 52 weeks ending January 31, 2026, Harrods recorded a pre-tax profit of £84.9 million, with a turnover increase of 1.2% to £1.08 billion.
This financial recovery coincided with a major restructuring of Harrods’ senior management team. Changes included the promotion of Chief Information Officer Andreas Efstathiou to Chief Operating Officer, consolidating various operational functions under his leadership. Mark Blundell was appointed Chief Retail Officer, Sarah Myler became Chief Brand & Reputation Officer, and Geoff Weaver joined as Chief Financial Officer in 2025.
Additionally, Harrods has been investing in its flagship location; in June, it launched its first ‘International Designer Room’ as part of a broader redevelopment of the womenswear section, which includes plans for three interconnected rooms as part of its ‘Womenswear Masterplan.’
