The recall, which began on August 14 and was updated on August 25, affects 200 ml, 400 ml, and 730 ml sizes of the product. Detailed batch codes for the recalled items are available in the notice released by the United Kingdom's Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS).
According to the OPSS, some batches may be microbiologically contaminated, prompting Unilever to withdraw the product from stores and recall it from customers. Consumers who possess bottles with the identified batch codes are advised to stop using the product and contact Simple for a refund. A receipt may not be required if customers can provide a photo of the bottle along with its batch code.
It is important to note that the recall does not imply that the entire brand is unsafe; however, individuals should verify the batch number located underneath the bottle against the recall notice. If a bottle's batch number is listed, it should be discarded immediately due to the risk of irritation.
