Paul Min, Michelle's brother, suggested that Bryan Walker shot his wife before taking his own life, though this account has not been confirmed by police. The authorities stated they are actively investigating the incident and have not released further details.

According to Paul Min, Walker had recently suffered substantial financial losses and experienced a noticeable decline in mental health. He characterized Walker as a hardworking individual and expressed disbelief at the violence attributed to him. Min mentioned that both he and his sister believed Bryan needed psychiatric help and that she was planning for his admission on the day of the shooting.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m. and found both individuals with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, they were pronounced dead at the scene. The police recovered a firearm and have not ruled out the possibility of murder-suicide but have yet to establish the shooter.

Bryan Walker and Michelle Min met in Kansas during the 1980s before relocating to California, where they established their clothing business in Berkeley, which has operated since 1992. Bryn Walker designs and produces its apparel in the San Francisco Bay Area, maintaining six retail locations and supplying approximately 1,000 boutiques across the country.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the case to contact the Oakland police’s Homicide Section.
