Patek Philippe is expanding its identity with the launch of the Gondolo Ladies First collection, set to debut on 1 October 2026. This follows the unveiling of the square-shaped Cubitus collection on 17 October 2024. While the Cubitus is a bold masculine design, the Gondolo Ladies First is a feminine cushion-shaped extension of existing models.

The new collection was presented at the "Watch Art" Grand Exhibition in Milan, where Patek Philippe highlighted its historical tradition of shaped watches known as "Gondolos." This nomenclature originates from the brand’s early 20th-century Mexican retailer, Gondolo & Labouriau, which inspired various daring designs.

Patek Philippe's previous Gondolo models, particularly from the 1990s, influenced the iconic Twenty~4 collection. The Gondolo Ladies First adds to this legacy with six new models, featuring three partially set versions and three fully set variations. A notable update from earlier models is the switch from pearl straps to leather.

Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, discussed the brand’s commitment to the women's market, stating that 10% of their sales come from the Twenty~4 line, with women representing 36% of their overall watch sales. The Gondolo Ladies First aims to diversify women's options beyond the popular Twenty~4 and other designs.

The collection showcases a 31 x 34.88mm cushion-shaped case with three defining characteristics. Firstly, all models are set with diamonds, ensuring none come in plain gold. Secondly, diamonds are placed between the case and the bezel, adorning the inner bezel with 108 diamonds, artfully preserving the case’s shape. Lastly, the design features articulated lugs that maintain space from the case, highlighting Patek Philippe's craftsmanship.

Two ranges are available: one partially set with options in white gold, rose gold, or a combination, and the other completely set in the same gold styles. Each range offers dials in various colors, including denim blue, brown, blue, green, or purple. The Gondolo Ladies First collection will also be featured in Patek Philippe's new "I AM. I WEAR" campaign, developed in collaboration with Leagas Delaney agency.
