On September 22, 2023, Publicis Groupe's Power of One team, Publicis Go, collaborated with Lloyds Pet Insurance and fashion label Chopova Lowena to unveil a unique dog couture collection named Overprotective Wear at London Fashion Week. The collection aimed to illustrate the importance of pet protection by showcasing dogs in extravagant outfits during Chopova Lowena's Spring/Summer 2027 runway show.

The partnership highlighted everyday pet risks by transforming them into eye-catching fashion concepts, featuring designs such as parachute-inspired outfits and anti-theft gear. The collection reflects research conducted by Lloyds, which revealed that while 92% of pet owners buy clothing for their dogs, only 53% possess pet insurance. Notably, 38% of pet owners reported experiencing unexpected veterinary bills exceeding £500.

Each garment was created based on real pet data and developed in collaboration with veterinarians. The overarching message emphasized that while these protective outfits are striking, pet insurance serves a more practical role in safeguarding pets and their owners against unforeseen expenses.

Ben Mooge, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe UK, stated, "Pet owners worry about their dogs. A lot. So we took that perfectly reasonable instinct and pushed it to a fairly unreasonable conclusion. Airbag puffers. Parachute suits. Anti-theft armour. All designed with Chopova Lowena and modeled by some extremely patient dogs. The moment we had this idea, London Fashion Week felt like the place we had to launch it."

Sam Taylor, Head of Insurance Marketing at Lloyds Banking Group, noted the unpredictability of veterinary care costs and expressed the importance of pet insurance, stating, "We want pet owners to feel confident that, when the unexpected happens, they can focus on getting their pet the care they need rather than worrying about the cost."

Chopova Lowena founders Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons added, "Our dogs are our worlds, so we know just how special pets are and how important it is to keep them safe. We felt passionately about finding a way to bring that feeling to life, letting our imaginations run wild and turning the idea of pet safety into an exciting visual representation. It was a project we feel incredibly excited to be a part of!"
