The acquisition will integrate ZO Skin Health into Galderma’s existing dermatological skincare lineup, which is aimed at dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aesthetic professionals, and their patients. Founded by dermatologist Zein Obagi, MD, ZO Skin Health has developed a range of clinically supported skincare products. The company offers over 40 products and distributes through more than 16,500 medical accounts globally, reporting approximately $330 million in net sales for the 12 months ending June 2026.

ZO Skin Health's focus on established daily skincare regimens, particularly those featuring retinol and acid-based protocols, is expected to complement Alastin’s peptide-based offerings that cater to pre- and post-procedure care. Galderma's CEO, Flemming Ørnskov, MD, MPH, stated that this acquisition is pivotal in building a comprehensive dermatology portfolio and reinforcing their capabilities in physician-dispensed skincare.

Ørnskov highlighted ZO Skin Health's clinical reputation, protocol-driven approach, and strong ties with healthcare providers as valuable assets. Galderma intends to leverage its research, development, and commercial resources to support ZO's growth.

The merger also aims to strengthen Galderma’s market presence in both daily skincare and peri-procedural segments, enhancing services for clinicians and patients alike. ZO Skin Health's founder expressed pride in joining a company with a shared commitment to science and practitioner trust. The company plans to boost commercial investment during its first year post-acquisition, aiming for renewed growth in the second year after the deal closes.
