The Fragrance Club will facilitate discussions, workshops, immersive experiences, and co-creation opportunities focused on consumer behavior, cultural trends, creative storytelling, and fragrance innovation. Participants will have the chance to interact with prominent Coty perfumers, including Nathalie Lorson, Amandine Clerc-Marie, Meabh McCurtin, Julie Massé, Fabrice Pellegrin, and Delphine Lebeau.

Coty aims to tap into the emerging communities influencing the fragrance industry. Jean Holtzmann, Chief Brands Officer of Coty Prestige, noted that while Coty has had a century-long history in fragrance, the culture surrounding it is evolving rapidly. He emphasized that new voices and communities are transforming the way people discover and experience scents.

The organization highlighted the impact of social media platforms like TikTok, which have fostered new communities around fragrance, particularly among Gen Z consumers. Following its launch, the Fragrance Club is set to be an ongoing platform where Coty teams will regularly convene to share insights on fragrance culture, innovation, and strategies for consumer engagement.

This initiative comes as Coty seeks to bolster its fragrance expertise following the loss of its Gucci license, which it held for a decade. Starting in 2028, L’Oréal will take over the fragrance and beauty development for the Kering-owned brand. Additionally, Coty has experienced setbacks in its fragrance licensing business, including losing David Beckham’s fragrance line to Interparfums earlier this year.

Recently, Soraya Benchikh was appointed as Coty’s CFO, succeeding Laurent Mercier. This appointment aligns with a new operating structure implemented on July 2, aimed at bringing commercial decision-making closer to the markets in which Coty operates and merging research and development with supply chain functions.
