Founded by formulator Ollie Wertheim, SENSITIVE SKIN claims to focus on products that meet the evolving needs of skin, particularly for women aged 35 and older. The study aims to gather honest feedback, as Wertheim emphasizes the importance of constructive criticism alongside praise. "If a product does nothing for someone, that answer is worth as much to us as praise," Wertheim stated.

Participants will use both products daily for four weeks, completing a brief questionnaire prior to the study and a ten-minute questionnaire at its conclusion. Throughout the process, they can communicate directly with Wertheim for questions or observations.

The ELIXIR Premium Serum, which features 32 botanical ingredients including bakuchiol and sea buckthorn oil, serves as a plant-based alternative to retinol. The CALM Cleansing Balm, also an anhydrous formula, contains blue tansy oil and mango butter.

The study is open to adults in the U.S. Applications can be submitted at https://form.jotform.com/262354337421049. Results will be disclosed in late October, with findings released in mid-November 2026.

SENSITIVE SKIN, established in 2022, creates high-performance formulations tailored for women over 35, ensuring every ingredient serves a purpose. ELIXIR Premium Serum recently earned a Gold Award in the Organic Beauty section at the 2026 Organic Beauty Awards.
