This year's central theme focuses on innovations aimed ‘for positive impact’. Béchereau explained that regeneration encompasses not just environmental aspects but also skin and societal improvements, highlighting the industry's commitment to this direction. Fifty exhibitors are connected to this theme, indicating progress in areas such as skin regeneration, resource management, and production techniques. Attendees can engage with this theme through the exhibition, conferences, and the Cosmetic 360 Awards, which honor the most acclaimed innovations in the industry.
The event features a diverse array of exhibitors, including 38 startups, mostly SMEs, and major corporations interested in innovation challenges. Additionally, the Research Area, spanning over 60 m², connects academic researchers with industry players, facilitating collaboration.
European exhibitors are predominant, followed by notable participation from Asian countries like Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and China, alongside representation from Morocco and South America, particularly Peru, which focuses on regenerative agricultural practices.
In a notable new development, this year introduces an area dedicated to nutricosmetics, aimed at exploring synergies between cosmetics and nutritional beauty products. Béchereau highlighted the sector's quest for growth and the holistic beauty approach promoted through this initiative.
Cosmetic 360 also includes a forward-looking component, represented by Greentech's ‘anticipation capsule’ in collaboration with Le Comptoir Prospectiviste, which envisions the future of biotech in cosmetics through a video presentation featuring six scenarios.
The trade show is not only an exhibition but also a platform for engagement, advocating for a cosmetics industry that aligns with wellness and inclusivity. An innovation roundtable led by the Centdegrés agency will further facilitate discussions on product development.
Cosmetic Week will accompany the show with additional networking opportunities, including an international gala, a retail tour in Paris, and an International Tour in partnership with the Choose Paris Region economic development agency. The event will commence with an official ceremony and, for the first time, will include representatives from various political groups to spotlight the cosmetics industry's interests ahead of the French presidential elections.
Organizers expect attendance to match last year's record of 5,600 unique visitors over two days.
