Milan Fashion Week has once again showcased its unique vision of luxury fashion as it reveals Spring/Summer 2027 collections. Just before Paris, this week marks a pivotal moment for prevailing trends.

Key moments emerged amidst a busy schedule packed with both major fashion houses and emerging designers. Notable shows included Diesel, Prada, Fendi, Jil Sander, and MM6 Margiela, each presenting distinct styles and themes.

Glenn Martens' final show for Diesel took a playful turn, featuring performers mingling with guests, resulting in a vibrant atmosphere marked by impromptu embraces and energetic dancing. His collection, rich with denim pieces and leather looks, retained the brand's signature edgy aesthetic even as he prepares to transition to Margiela.

Prada's collection, guided by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, prominently featured skirts, showcasing an extensive range of fabrics and cuts, all maintaining a consistent knee-length silhouette. This enduring design element was adorned with details such as crystal embroidery and crinolines, demonstrating a sophisticated take on the classic garment.

Fendi, under Maria Grazia Chiuri, celebrated sensuality, merging daywear and evening looks. The collection spotlighted semi-sheer dresses, plunging necklines, and casual luxury, featuring statement bras worn openly with satin shorts. The use of fur was reimagined with delicate scarves, enhancing the collection's overall sensual theme.

At Jil Sander, Simone Bellotti focused on deconstruction and reconstruction, producing a collection that reexamines the brand’s identity. His pieces featured innovative silhouettes with fitted blazers and unexpectedly flaring skirts, alongside a bold color palette that diverged from the brand’s traditional subdued hues.

Lastly, MM6 Margiela showcased subversive fashion with garments that challenged their usual forms. Items included flip-flop shoes and repurposed clothing, showcasing a creative approach reminiscent of the house’s innovative legacy. Each piece reflected a thoughtful, if unconventional, exploration of silhouette and functionality.
