The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspects as Onell Arian Portelles-Cera, 28, Solangel Rodriguez-Sanchez, 29, both from Las Vegas, Nevada; Luis Andris Rizo-Avila, 39, and Yenisley Nunez-Guerra, 42, also from Las Vegas.

The investigation began on September 24 when an employee at the Ulta Beauty store in Camarillo Premium Outlets reported two shoplifters. The suspects fled before deputies could arrive. Subsequent investigations revealed that the suspects had stolen merchandise, including high-end fragrances, and were linked to other thefts at Ulta stores in the county.

Using Automated License Plate Readers, the sheriff's office located the suspects' vehicle at the Premier Inn parking lot in Newbury Park. On September 25, detectives arrested the four suspects at the motel. During a search of their vehicles, they discovered nearly 100 bottles of perfume and cologne valued at approximately $16,000, all belonging to Ulta Beauty.

The suspects were booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of conspiracy to commit organized retail theft. The sheriff's office noted that all four are scheduled to appear in court next month for arraignment, and additional charges may follow as the investigation continues.
