Developed with perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu from Givaudan, TATE 01 features a woody, skin-close scent profile centered around ISO E Super. The fragrance opens with notes of bergamot and clary sage, transitioning to a heart of white florals, amber, tonka bean, sandalwood, and soft woods.

McRae described fragrance as the “final invisible layer” of her beauty routine, aiming for TATE 01 to evoke a “second-skin” feeling. She stated, “I set out to craft a scent that feels entirely second-skin: effortless, subtly edgy, and perfectly you. It melts in so gracefully that it never wears you; it just enhances who you already are.”

This launch follows a trademark application for Tate By Tate McRae, filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office in July, covering fragrances, skincare products, and candles. McRae is also a global brand ambassador for Neutrogena, having previously collaborated with the brand to enhance her beauty profile.

Scent Beauty, which has partnered with various celebrities including Dolly Parton and Sabrina Carpenter, oversees the new fragrance line. The campaign for TATE 01, photographed by Mario Sorrenti, draws inspiration from 1990s supermodel culture, and the bottle features a sculptural glass design with both rounded and architectural elements.

TATE 01 is available for pre-order in the UK and EU, with shipments beginning on 23 October. It is priced at £38 for 30ml.
