Data on risankizumab and upadacitinib was highlighted, demonstrating their efficacy and safety across diverse patient groups. Additionally, new investigational compounds lutikizumab and zumilokibart will be featured to showcase AbbVie’s ongoing exploration of alternative treatment mechanisms.
Ryan DeMasi, M.D., vice president of global medical affairs for immunology at AbbVie, expressed enthusiasm about the data being presented, which aims to enhance scientific understanding and provide innovative treatment options for patients.
Key areas of focus in the presentations include:
- **Alopecia Areata:** Findings will present 52-week data from the Phase 3 UP-AA trials evaluating the long-term efficacy and safety of upadacitinib, along with analyses on quality-of-life improvements.
- **Atopic Dermatitis:** The congress will feature a late-breaking presentation on the Phase 2 APEX study results, assessing the efficacy and safety of zumilokibart, alongside data from clinical trials and real-world registries on upadacitinib.
- **Hidradenitis Suppurativa:** A late-breaking presentation will cover lutikizumab's impact on neutrophilic inflammation and symptom burden, based on a Phase 2 study.
- **Non-Segmental Vitiligo:** Results from two Phase 3 trials of upadacitinib will assess patient outcomes and long-term efficacy, including analyses on combination therapy with narrow band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy.
- **Psoriasis:** Efficacy and safety results from real-world studies of risankizumab will be discussed, including a head-to-head trial against deucravacitinib and other findings on psoriatic arthritis risk.
- **Psoriatic Arthritis:** An analysis of the Phase 3 KEEPsAKE-1 trial will examine radiographic progression in patients treated with risankizumab.
The EADV Congress will include the late-breaking sessions and other presentations highlighting AbbVie's commitment to advancing treatments for immune-mediated conditions. More details about the program are available through the EADV Congress platform.
