International hairstylist Olena Sydorova highlights that the modern hairstylist is transforming from a mere service provider to a multifaceted expert. These professionals are now image creators, educators, and trusted advisers who guide clients in expressing their uniqueness while maintaining hair health. “Fashion is constantly evolving, but beautiful hair always begins with knowledge,” she asserts. “A true hairstylist must see the complete image, understand the condition of the hair, and choose techniques that create a powerful visual result without compromising its health.”

Sydorova’s approach is rooted in her extensive background. She began her career in Odesa, Ukraine, graduating from hairdressing school in 2003. After moving to Kyiv in 2007, she furthered her education at the S&A Group and VT Academy under renowned hairstylist Volodymyr Tarasyk. By 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hairdressing Art and Decorative Cosmetics and a Master’s Degree in Education.

In 2017, she founded ES Hair Salon in Bucha, Ukraine, followed by ES Hair School in Kyiv in 2021. After relocating to Europe, she has continued her teaching endeavors in Prague and Ukraine, while currently developing ES Hair Studio USA in Florida. Her projects have gained international recognition, with her educational initiatives accredited by Global Creative Masters (Switzerland) as high-quality professional education programs.

Sydorova's career intersects with the fashion industry, having worked backstage at various fashion weeks in Florida. Her experience in this fast-paced environment has taught her the need for speed, creativity, and teamwork, as every hairstyle must align with the designer's vision and adapt to various conditions. “Fashion Week teaches you to make decisions quickly without ever losing sight of the designer’s vision,” she remarks.

Among the anticipated beauty trends for 2026, she emphasizes personalized textures, polished styling, multidimensional hair color, and restorative treatments. There is a growing demand for professionals who can provide personalized salon experiences inspired by runway looks.

Technology will play an increasing role in hairstyling, aiding tasks such as trend analysis and client communication. However, Sydorova maintains that no technology can replace the creativity, empathy, and personal judgment intrinsic to hairstyling. “Technology helps us work more efficiently, but it cannot feel the condition of the hair, understand a client’s emotions, or make real-time artistic decisions,” she explains.

Despite her many accolades and achievements, including judging titles and a comprehensive Fashion Week portfolio, Sydorova views the success of her students as her greatest accomplishment. Many have progressed to open salons, become educators, and build successful careers globally. “When a student becomes confident enough to build a successful career or teach others, that is my greatest achievement,” she states.

Olena Sydorova's journey from Odesa to international platforms reflects the future direction of the beauty industry—global, education-centric, technologically advanced, and focused on individuality and hair health. Her message to the fashion industry is clear: while trends may evolve, expertise and creativity remain timeless.
