This year's production will offer film-inspired collections, theatrical presentations, and community celebrations. Thompson emphasized the intent to fuse fashion and film, stating, "We wanted to create an experience where fashion meets film and designers become storytellers."
The schedule begins on Thursday with "Opening Credits," a digital premiere that will be broadcast live on Instagram and YouTube, introducing the event's Hollywood theme.
On Friday, "The Director’s Cut" will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Spartanburg Art Museum, focusing on the theme “Black Art. Black Film. Black Fashion.” Designers T. Vaughn, Standard Beauty, and KKUNDA will interpret Black cinema through their fashion installations. Kisha McCartha will host the evening.
Saturday's events at The Hall at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium will be divided into two parts. The "Reel Couture Matinee" starts at 2:30 p.m., showcasing designers, retail fashion, and emerging talent, including Converse College student Tre Salmond. The "Reel Couture Main Feature" begins at 7 p.m., hosted by Morgan Norris, featuring dramatic runway presentations, film-inspired collections, and special guests, including pop artist Brandon Hilton and honoree Kitty Black Perkins.
The week will conclude with "The Reelys: An Evening of Fashion & Awards" on Sunday at 4 p.m. at The Oxford at 1881 Events. Co-hosted by Morgan Norris and Kisha McCartha, the event will honor various individuals in the fashion and creative industries, including awards for designers, models, and influencers.
