The Go-To Mellow Milk Cleanser, priced at $45, is described as an ultra-gentle milk cleanser containing colloidal oatmeal for soothing sensitive skin. It is fragrance-free and has been approved by the Eczema Association of Australasia. The cleanser is applied to dry skin and rinsed off, which took some getting used to. However, its thick, lotion-like texture effectively removes makeup and SPF without leaving a tight feeling on my skin. While I found it particularly nourishing, it did sting my eyes upon opening them before rinsing.
Next was the Go-To Much Calmer Skin Serum, retailing at $62. This lightweight serum aims to reduce redness and discomfort. Its texture is likened to a thin, milky lotion, offering comfort without causing any irritation. Although it performed well, I didn't find it sufficiently impressive to replace my current sensitive skin serums.
The Go-To Supremely Soothing Moisturiser, available for $75, promises intense hydration and relief for sensitive skin through its formula that includes ceramides and oat lipids. Upon opening, the moisturiser's velvety texture felt luxurious and quickly absorbed, making it effective for my perioral dermatitis. Despite its high cost, it stood out to me, though I plan to use it primarily at night.
At $41, the Go-To Gentle Exfoliator aims to remove dead skin cells without irritants. It has been repackaged from a previous launch but did not impress me much, as it performed similarly to other lactic acid exfoliants I've tried, leaving me wanting more visible results.
Finally, I tried the Go-To Soothe Operator Sheet Mask, priced at $18 for one or $72 for five. Unlike typical serum-heavy masks, this one is rich in cream, providing immediate cooling relief. While it can cause some makeup pilling if applied too soon after use, it is a solid choice for calming flare-ups and could become a staple for skin emergencies.
Overall, the standout products for me were the cleanser and the moisturiser, while the serum and exfoliator did not leave a significant impression. The sheet mask offered a delightful alternative to conventional options.
